Withing the framework of EU funded project "Towards Developing and Implementing a National Strategy for Forest Fire Management in Lebanon", the Ministry of Environment (MoE), the Association for Forests, Develpoment and Conservation (AFDC) with the collaboration of the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) and in cooperation with the members of the Executive and Technical Committee on Forest Fires organized a workshop on "Integrated Forest Fire Management and Monitoring Plan for Sustainable Fire Prevention and Control, and Forest Rehabilitation in Lebanon", which took place on the 7, 8 and 9 May 2008 at the Mediterranean Forest Develpoment and Conservation Center of Lebanon (MFDCL) located in Ramlieh in Mount Lebanon.
