| The Special Campaigns Program is responsible for AFDC’s advocacy activities highlighting pertinent environmental issues among decision-makers at the national level by encouraging dialogue and debates and by developing pioneer rural development and environment projects.
The main issues the program has been focusing on to date include
- Illegal hunting
- Quarrying
- Faith and Conservation
- Forest Fires
Ongoing Activities
- Organizing national debates and workshops among environmentalists, government institutions and private sector working on hunting to discuss and change conflicting articles in the Hunting Law and announce the new law no. 580.
- Conducting field surveys and assessments about quarries in Lebanon.
- Organizing national dialogues among different religious parties in Lebanon to present and discuss the relation between faith and environment conservation.
- Organize national dialogue representing university students aiming to proclaim a "Common Environmental Policy Declaration"
