IndyAct- The League of Independent Activities in collaboration with the Association for Forests, Development and Conservation (AFDC), American Lebanese Chamber of Commerce and the Green party of Lebanon invite you on Friday 11th of December from 4:00 p.m. till 6:00 p.m. to be part of a global day of action: "The World Needs a Real Deal" day of action, at the parliament square (Place de L' Etoile) for the unveiling of a signature wall.

"The World Needs a Real Deal" is an exciting global action to rally hundreds of thousands of people in every country across the globe with one clear message from our leaders: The World Wants a Real Climate Deal- one that is fair, ambitious and binding.

The Copenhagen summit for Climate Change has begun, and as we sit here today world leaders are deciding our fate. In light of this, IndyAct, the Green Party and AFDC are joining this global call and powering up for the 11th of December.

Mid-way through the climate talks in Copenhagen- millions of people around the world will gather in solemn solidarity with the nations and peoples for how delay on climate action could mean extinction. 'Signature' walls be built in key political capitals for people to write their message to world leaders that the World Wants a Real Deal on climate change and candlelight vigils will be held.

You as influential citizens in this country can make a major change by your participation in this event. Your presence with us and your message on the 'Signature' wall is of utmost importance and means a lot, including support for the efforts of civil society in combating climate change in Lebanon and the Arab world.

"We can still secure a fair, ambitious and binding deal in Copenhagen".
