We would like to inform you that the Association for Forests, Development and Conservation (AFDC) will be part of the official delegation that is going Copenhagen with Mister Prime Minister Saad Hariri as part of the Civil Society Organizations. AFDC will be represented by its General Director Mrs. Sawsan Bou Fakhreddine.

Lebanon is one of the countries that will be impacted by climate change and as you know forests hold a great importance in combating climate change and climate change have disastrous effects on forests.

As such this action comes as a coronation of several activities implemented by AFDC regarding climate change such as a joint conference with United Nations Information Center, conference participation in Issam Fares Institute, Signing the petition internationally and locally and presenting it to officials etc.

The Copenhagen summit for Climate Change has begun, and the delegation has high ambitions for this summit.

The World Needs a Real Climate Deal- one that is fair, ambitions and binding.
